Adjusting your Birkenstocks

Before every day wear of your Birkenstocks, place one hand under the toe and one under the heel, and flex the footbed a few times. This will initiate the break in period and allow for a more comfortable fit.

Open all the straps and step into the footbed. Close the straps comfortably, leaving enough space to allow your feet the freedom to move.

Caring for your Birkenstocks

Avoid extreme heat and do not leave in direct sunlight for long periods of time- this can damage the cork footbeds and EVA soles

Most styles should not be immersed in water. Over saturation can compromise the integrity of the sealant materials. Birkenstock Essentials styles are waterproof however, and made of a one piece synthetic EVA material.

If your shoes become wet, allow them to air dry slowly, away from direct heat
